Carbon Sequestration

Practices that capture atmospheric carbon and store it in the soil, mitigating some effects of climate change.

Cover Crop

An additional crop between cash crop cycles to suppress weeds, improve soil fertility, and prevent erosion.

Holistic Management

Considering the entire farm ecosystem when making decisions, including the interactions between soil, plants, animals, and humans.

Regenerative Agriculture

A conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on improving the health of the soil, water, and atmosphere through a set of practices that mimic natural processes which generally increases biodiversity while reducing and/or eliminating dependence on chemical-based soil amendments (fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, etc.)

A philosophy that prioritizes long-term health of the land, fostering a cooperative relationship between humans and nature.
